🤔 Types of Software Tools
Productivity Tools: Business Analysts rely on productivity tools like Microsoft Office Suite to manage, document, and present their findings efficiently, utilising features like Excel for data analysis and PowerPoint for stakeholder presentations.
Diagramming and Visual Modelling Tools: These tools, such as Microsoft Visio or Lucid Chart, enable Business Analysts to create flowcharts, UML diagrams, and ER models that visually represent complex business processes and systems for easier understanding and communication.
Collaboration and Communication Tools: Platforms like Slack, Microsoft Teams, or Zoom facilitate real-time communication and project management, allowing Business Analysts to coordinate with team members, stakeholders, and clients across various locations and time zones.
Specialist Tools (Data): Business Analysts use specialist data tools like Tableau or Power BI for data visualisation, SQL databases for querying large datasets, and advanced analytics software like R or Python to derive predictive insights from complex data sets.
